Record Time No. 1

Record Time is a print magazine that covers obscure, unusual, forgotten and neglected records. It’s not selling anything other than used records get passed over a hundred times, but should have bought for a bargain bin price because they are great, if not interesting. It’s also about the arcane knowledge and stories one learns when they fall off the edge of fandom to freak. I am sure that plenty of you know what I mean.

We’ve got a great crew of writers in Brian Turner, Fred de Vries, Owen Maercks, Laurent Bigot, Johnny Sunshine, Adam Taub, Randi Rotini, Mike Trouchon, Tom Hyland, Ryan Wells, and others; and edited by S. Soriano.

We all have written stuff on the history of the song “Ca Plane Pour Moi,” the machine gun guru/wanna be rock star Hansadutta Swami, novelty rapper/drug lord Hurt Em Bad, Alquin and Dutch Prog Rock, Harvey Matusow’s Jews Harp Band, the People’s Victory Orchestra & Chorus, Dick Vivian & Rooky Ricardo’s Records, New England record label Droll Yankees, hard rock bargain bin legends Montrose, and more. Cover and strips by underground comic legend Dennis Worden. If you like/liked Ugly Things, Maggot Brain, Roctober, Wax Poetics, Scram, Re/Search, Z Gun, etc., you should dig Record Time!

Record Time is 112-pages, perfect bound. The content is only available in print. Cover price is $12, though you can mail order a copy for $15 postpaid in the US (more elsewhere).
